This AUP is provided to give our users a clear understanding of what Iota expects of them while using the service. It is not indended to outline all forms of allowed or disallowed use of the service.

Use of Iota's service constitutes acceptance and agreement to this AUP as well as the TOS.

We support the uncensored flow of information and ideas over the Internet, we do not routinely monitor user activity, nor do we exercise editorial control over the content our users upload to the service. However, we may remove any materials that, in our sole discretion, may be illegal, may subject us to liability, or which violate this AUP. Iota may cooperate with legal authorities and\or third parties in the investigation of any suspected or alleged crime or civil wrongdoing.

You may not use Iota to publish material which Iota determines, at its sole discretion, to be unlawful, indecent, or objectionable. For the purposes of this policy, "material" refers to all forms of communications including but not limited to: narrative descriptions, graphics (including photographs, illustrations, images, drawings, logos), executable programs, video recordings, and audio recordings.

Violations of Iota AUP:
Direct violations of the AUP include but are not limited to:

• Illegal Use: Iota's services may not be used for illegal purposes, or in support of illegal activities. Iota reserves the right to cooperate with legal authorities and/or injured third parties in the invstigation of any suspected crime or civil wrongdoing.
• Harm to Minors: Use of Iota's service to harm, or attempt to harm, minors in any way, including but not limited to child pornography.
• Threats: Use of Iota's service to transmit any material that threatens of encourages bodily harm or destruction of property.
• Harassment: Use of Iota's service to transmit any material that harrasses another.
• Fraudulant Activity: Use of Iota's service to make fraudulant offers to sell or buy products, items, or services, or to advance any type of financial scam such as "pyramid schemes", "ponzi schemes", and "chain letters".
• Forgery or Impersonation: Adding, removing, or modifying identifying network header information in order to deceive or mislead is prohibited. Attempting to impersonate any person through "social engineering" is prohibited.
• Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE\Spam): Use of Iota's service to aid in the distribution of unsolicited commercial email or bulk email is expressly prohibited. An example of such a violation would be embedding or linking to content hosted on Iota from within a spam email. Any link reported as spamvertized will be reviewed and may be subject to deletion.
• Copyright or Trademark Infringement: Use of Iota's service to transmit any material that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary rights of any third party, including but not limited to the unauthorized copying of copyrighted material, the digitalization and distribution of photographs from magazines, books, or other copyrighted sources, and the unauthorized transmittal of copyrighted software or media files.
• Network Disruptions And Unfriendly Activity: Use of Iota's service for any activity which affects the ability of other people or systems to use Iota services or the Internet. This includes denial of service (DOS) attaks.
• Fraud: Involves a knowing misrepresentation or misleading statement, writing or activity made with the intent the person receiving it will act upon it.
• Facilitating Copyright, Patent, Trademark, Trade Secret, or Intellectual Property Infringement: Content which does not itself infringe on these rights but may facilitate the infringement of these rights may be removed. This includes text links to copyrighted content hosted on other services.
• Distribution of Unauthorized Information or Photos: The use of Iota's service to distribute unauthorized copies of information (known as "doxing") or distribution of unauthorized photographs (for example, revenge porn) is strictly prohibited.

Iota operates on shared resources. Excessive use or abuse of these shared resources by one user may have a negative impact on all other users. Misuse of network resources in a manner which impairs network performance is prohibited by this policy and may result in removal of your content.

Reporting AUP Violations
Iota requests that anyone who believes that there is a violation of this AUP please direct the information to our abuse team via email to: abuse-at-iota.lt. Please send us all relevant information including the link to the offending uploads and any other information you have about the situation.

Revisions To This AUP
Iota reserves the right to revise, amend, or modify this AUP, our TOS, and our other policies and agreements at any time and in any manner without prior notification to our users.

Disclosure To Law Enforcement: The AUP specifically prohibits the use of our service for illegal activities. Therefore, the user agrees that Iota may disclose any and all subscriber information including IP address, historic use of service, etc, to any law enforcement agent who makes a written request without further consent or notification to the user.

Access To Service: Access to this service is a privilege, not a right. Iota reserves the right to ban any user or IP address at any time for any reason.

Removal of Content: Iota reserves the right to permanently delete any content on our service at any time for any reason.

Storage of Records: Iota may log your IP address and a timestamp and store it along with every file upload. Iota's web server daemon may keep similar logs of access to content through public URLs. Iota may retain this information indefinitely or for as long as Iota deems appropriate.

Availability of the Service: Iota makes no guarantees and provides no warranties regarding the availability of the Iota service. At any time, Iota may experience outages or may permanently close down all operations without prior notification or consent from our users. The availability of your content is not guaranteed indefinitely.

Compliance With Agreements: By using the Iota service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and Terms of Service (TOS).

Indemnification: Iota wishes to emphasize that in agreeing to the Iota AUP and TOS, the user indemnifies Iota for any violation of the AUP and TOS that results in loss to Iota or bringing of any claim against Iota by any third party. This means that if Iota is sued because of a user's activity, the user will pay any damages awarded against Iota plus all costs and attorney's fees.

Responsibility for Content: The user is solely responsible for all content stored and served by Iota on the user's behalf. You are responsible for the content you upload.

Denial of Service: We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason.
